Hello all, Hope you are having a smashing week so far. Unfortunately I have not been well this week. Had to take a few days off work. But this has given me time to work a little more on my book. A nice new update which I can share is that the Artist which I use, Carlos. Has finished the front cover of my book. He has drawn an amazing image. My previous book cover was AI done by Midjourney. I really loved this book cover so I asked Carlos if they would draw me something similar using his own art style. But keep the main features in place on the cover.
The reason why I chose to move away from the AI Book Cover done by Midjourney was because there is a lot of back lash right now towards AI. Initially I was told as an Author, AI was going to be the future. It will make things a lot cheaper, help with artwork when needed, allow you to create “Agents” which would be a copywriter for you and essentially drop the traditional writing services which were provided by Publishers. Things like the Copywriters, shadow writers, proof reading etc. Since these services cost a bomb to pay for, AI would have made it far cheaper and give you amazing results.
Then as time progressed, a lot of people in the authoring community was afraid of these tools. Mostly because they noticed a massive spike in AI generated novels/books. Which they claimed was “Stealing” their revenues essentially. So as any disgruntled person would do, due to “human nature”. We lash out. We become jealous creatures, trying to tear down what others have made. Even a simple thing like an AI book cover, can be seen as a front against the writing community. Thus, they will review bomb the book. Force their audience to avoid it. Tarnish it, by any means possible. It is a horrible society to live in right now.
My Book series will hopefully cover this kind of atmosphere as I make progress through the series. Showing you how horrible human beings can be when something is not to their liking. Even if the goal was to help, to bring something into existence which you love and believe others would love as well. So this is why I decided to commission Carlos into remaking my book cover for me. It was because of fear. Fear, it’s a powerful thing which forces others to do things against their will. I had fear my book will be looked down on, frowned upon as one would say. Review bombed when it gets published.
Anyway, moving onto greener pastures. please have a look at this amazing new book cover. There still might be changes in the future but this is essentially what it will look like from the get go. The Book Font might change location due to cropping/bleed effect when creating the actual book cover itself for printing. But I believe this will look amazing. Please have a look yourself.
